WHO WE ARE
Bronzeoak believes that the future of development in the Philippines should be driven by a fully integrated approach centered on stewarding the natural environment, maximizing economic growth throughout the value chain, and responsibly using local and technological resources. Bronzeoak’s core business strength lies in combining its experience in greenfield site development, clean energy, infrastructure, and logistics with its core values of innovation, sustainability, and thoughtful land use.
To date, Bronzeoak has completed ten clean energy projects across the Philippines and has worked with global investment funds, local government, and business leaders from a variety of sectors to develop four industrial zones, a port, and other agricultural interests. Historically, Bronzeoak pioneered biofuel production in the Philippines and executed the first utility scale solar plant in the country, leading to exponential growth in the clean energy industry. Bronzeoak has deployed nearly $1 billion of international capital investment into the Philippines, bringing with it thousands of new jobs and spurring countryside development. In recognition of the company’s success, in March of 2017, the bulk of Bronzeoak’s energy interests were acquired by AC Energy Holdings, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ayala Corporation.
Over the years, Bronzeoak’s projects and its team have been recognized for multiple awards for various aspects of development. In 2009, Bronzeoak was presented with the “Entrepreneurial Developer of the Year” award for projects, companies and individuals who have generated significant momentum in the field of renewable energy. Additional awards include Asian Power Awards 2014; Asia CEO Awards; Power & Electricity Awards Asia, 2015; and the International Finance Corporation Sustainable Energy Finance Award.
Bronzeoak has been involved in countryside development projects for over 20 years. Today, Bronzeoak continues its work in clean energy in partnership with AC Energy Holdings, Inc., The ThomasLloyd Group, and the International Finance Corporation on BioPower projects with a focus on biomass resources, infrastructure, and logistics. Through the completion of three biomass power plants on the island of Negros, Bronzeoak is working with partners on all levels of the value chain. From working with local farmers to produce and secure raw materials, to the logistics of supply and delivery, to the end product of power production, Bronzeoak’s team has worked with the community to ensure maximum benefit at all levels.
With a focus on greenfield site development and island infrastructure, Bronzeoak has also expanded its business to include AquaTerra Hotels & Resorts Development Corporation, a company founded with the objective of establishing the Philippines as a significant regional player in pairing tourism with sustainable development. AquaTerra is currently developing a project pipeline throughout the Philippines and Asia Pacific that will prioritize innovative environmental solutions in the hospitality industry.
